Following the success of the underwater special edition of Show Us the World | FVM - 2018 presented at the Centre des arts in April 2018 and then at the Centre National d'Exposition throughout the summer, we have decide to offer you a second edition revealing the beauty and fragility of the underwater world.
Several big names in underwater photography are back in Saguenay until October 11, to the public's delight. Along with them, you will find images of divers photographers from the region who will show you the unknown wonders of our regional heritage.
From the crystal-clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the dark abyss of the Saguenay Fjord, the photographs showcase a variety of idyllic panoramas, as well as breathtaking underwater species that will amaze the youngest public.
Moving away from clichés, the exhibition presents little-treated subjects that will interest the most demanding enthusiasts. You will discover sunken underwater ruins, wrecks resting under ice, animals photographed in surprising context, helping to make the moment unique.
By presenting poetic images showing the incredible beauty of this fragile environment, Show Us the World aims to change our perception and awaken the empathy that we all have deep inside us. As Mexican photographer Christian Vizl points out, "Photography is capable of rendering real services to humanity, promoting empathy and initiating change".
